The ability of parameteric mesh models that helps make changes to fabricated structure assemblies, without waiting for CAD and thus saving time in “what if scenario” investigations will be discussed. This parametric mesh data also enables DoE based optimization processes to be done efficiently. The toolsets we are going to showcase help build design space for topology optimization and creates additional load paths without CAD. The welding tools demonstrated are quite versatile and help address the inclusion of Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) as well.

With our CAE platform MeshWorks and its connectivity with state of the art solvers like SIMULIA and NASTRAN, we are looking at accelerating the virtual validation process. MeshWorks tools are interdisciplinary and could be used for CFD / Flow studies as well.

Topics that will be covered in this webinar:

  • Creation of Mesh Models and Model Assembly – Live demos on how to create high-quality meshes and experience the automated model assembly process be it bolting/riveting or welding.
  • Parametric Mesh Model and Design Space Creation for Topology Optimization –How MeshWorks creates parametric mesh models to enable quick “What if” scenario studies for weight and performance optimization. Additionally the creation of design space and realizing of load paths.
  • MeshWorks driven Optimization Architecture –The Process Automation tool application for automating model assembly processes.
